Current Musicology is an open access journal, which means that content published from 2016 onward is free to access without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Authors retain their copyright and agree to license their articles with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 License (CC-NC-ND 4.0). unless otherwise noted on the article landing page. You can read more about Creative Commons licenses at creativecommons.org.

Additional journal backfiles will be made available in full text on the Current Musicology site on an ongoing basis, as well as through Academic Commons, Columbia University’s institutional repository. Those articles are also available for all users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts free of charge, though permission for re-use will need to be obtained from the author.

Current Musicology charges no author fees upon submission or acceptance.
